Ministry to the body

“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” 1 Peter 4:10-11.

"They were very able men for the work of service of the house of God.”

1 Chronicles 9:13

This Men’s Ministry focus area emphasizes three major areas. These areas are: Transportation (e.g. medical appointments, grocery shopping, etc.), “In reach” (e.g. follow up with those missing Son of Thunder study, etc.), and General Support (e.g. wellness checks, light moving support, etc).

General guidelines

Services offered, but not limited to:

Provide transportation to help men who must repeatedly travel beyond Casa Grande to receive medical treatment.

Provide requested company for a man while his spouse attends other essential activities (e.g. own health needs, family needs, etc.).  Or a respite from the 24 hour a day responsibility of care giver.

Provide assistance in the moving of light items (e.g. boxes, light furniture, etc.) within the home, or small moves within the city.

Other requests for services (e.g. wellness checks, etc.) will be reviewed by the leader of Men of Valor and the facilitator of the Ministry to the Body for possible approval.

This Ministry is not charted to be a taxi service.  E.g. Transportation for frequent and routine local daily needs are best served by local transportation providers, and not this ministry.

This Ministry is not designed to extend services normally provided by licensed medical professionals. Ministry support can be available in the case of emergency / urgency, to serve prepared meals, and oversee that medications are taken correctly, when detailed written instructions are provided.

Large and heavy jobs / tasks are best handled by professional movers. Ministry moving support is limited to the physical capabilities of available people and the ability to complete the move with a pickup truck, if required.

Request / Notification:

  - Unless an emergency, we request that we be notified of the support need a minimum of one (1) week in advance. However, emergencies do occur and if we can help assist you, we will. We would like to keep the services simple and their completion time short.

  - These services will be free.
